This seminar offers a guide and introduction to Service Charge disputes and the First-tier Tribunal. The speakers will discuss:
- Common problems in Service Charge disputes including demands, reasonableness and the relationship with managing agents;
- The Tribunal’s power to award or limit cost recovery; and
- Advocacy in the First-tier Tribunal.
Tristan will be giving his experience of appearing in the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal while Michael will be providing an insight from the bench in his role as a part-time judge of the First-tier Tribunal.
