The PBA and PLA join forces to discuss the legal issues currently arising in the world of property development and what might be in the pipeline for property litigation. In what has become an annual event, this year’s illustrious panel will take stock after two years’ of considerable change and debate what may be yet to come.

Chaired by Mathew Ditchburn, Chair of the PLA, the panellists will comprise a well-known and soon-to-be property silk and two leading property litigation solicitors:
Mathew Ditchburn of Hogan Lovells
Mathew is head of the real estate disputes team at Hogan Lovells, having been a partner of the firm since 2011. He is the current Chair of the PLA, Vice-Chair of the British Property Federation’s Insolvency Committee and a former Chair of the Joint Insolvency Committee.
Caroline Shea QC of Falcon Chambers
Caroline is a leading property silk, and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She took silk in 2016 and was appointed as a deputy High Court Judge, assigned to the Chancery Division, in 2021.
Dellah Gilbert of Maples Teasdale
Dellah is the Head of Property Litigation at Maples Teesdale and has extensive experience in a wide variety of property-related contentious commercial property issues including multi-million pound development disputes and rights of light issues.
Toby Watkin of Landmark Chambers
Toby is a specialist property barrister, accredited mediator and qualified arbitrator (MCIArb and AHKIArb). He was recommended for appointment as QC in the 2021 QC Competition.
Nick Lloyd of CMS
Nick is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team at CMS.
