Seminar - Village Greens - an ebbing tide? The strange death of Beresford

Douglas Edwards QC and Charles George QC will review some current issues and trends in the law of village greens. The former was junior counsel when the House of Lords decided Beresford, and leading counsel in Barkas when the Supreme Court overrruled Beresford. Charles George was leading counsel in Newhaven, where the difference between the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court on the byelaws issue depended on the overruling of Beresford
