Michael Barnes QC is a barrister at Wilberforce Chambers and the author of The Law of Estoppel, which will be published in February 2020. He practises mainly in property law and administrative law. In recent years, he has been in cases in the House of Lords and the Privy Council, including in cases on the rules of estoppel. 

Ben McFarlane is Professor of English Law, University of Oxford and a Fellow of St John’s College. His research focusses on the law of property and the law of obligations. He is the author of The Law of Proprietary Estoppel (2nd edition forthcoming summer 2020) and The Structure of Property Law as well as contributing to and co-authoring a number of other books, including Snell’s Equity

Faith Julian is a barrister at 9 Stone Buildings. Faith has a broad commercial Chancery practice. She is regularly instructed in property or probate disputes involving allegations of proprietary estoppel as well as frequently advising on and appearing in cases with estoppel issues.
