It is not uncommon for cases which make it to the Supreme Court to turn on issues which go to the heart of an area of property law. For example, in Guest v Guest on proprietary estoppel, the issue is the appropriate remedy where the estoppel is made out. To get to the current state of real estate we need to look again and again at the principles, both of law and practice.
This conference will help you to do so, on proprietary estoppel and other topics, including for professional negligence in conveyancing, and the small print for easements, together with a session on land registration practice, and a judicially-led session on the role of expert witnesses in property cases.
