Tony's practice focuses on property law in its broadest sense, including all manner of development disputes. "Excellent appreciation of issues and sensible commercial approach." Tony advises on everything from restrictive covenants to injunctions; boundaries and easements, to mortgages; commercial and residential landlord and tenant to professional negligence in surveying and valuation; and, proprietary estoppel and trusts of land to restrictive covenants.
Tony has appeared at the Court of Appeal on matters of real property, trusts and, landlord and tenant. Recent High Court appearances have included an 11-day trial relating to Knightsbridge properties, compelling insurance of a Grade II listed commercial building, defending restrictive covenants on a major development site, defending licence termination in charter markets, resolving leasehold interests in a school, challenging title to a business frontage, establishing a resulting trust in land bought for £1.2m, resisting the purported operation of break clauses in commercial leases of offices near Heathrow worth more than £3m, enforcing a solicitor's undertaking to redeem a mortgage with damages exceeding £¼m, and a complex purchaser summons relating to a property being sold for £1.3m and damaged between inspection and exchange of contracts.
